A group of minority students were harassed and assaulted by the goons of Bajrang Dal on the Mangaluru highway while returning in the evening from a beach. The Bajrang Dal stopped their vehicle and suspected that a Hindu girl is travelling with these minority boys. However the police said that there were one Muslim boy and 2 Christian boys and three Muslim girls. A case under sections 341, 323, and 504 of the IPC was registered at Surathkal Police Station. The Mangaluru police has arrested five members of Bajrang Dal for harassing and assaulting the students.
