Aamir Khan, a Muslim man selling clothes in UP’s Aligarh was beaten by lathis by a father and son duo for being a Muslim and refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’. The Aligarh police tweeted that this was misleading and the scuffle was due to the cost of clothes. The father-son duo stole Rs 10,000/- from him, stole his phone and other items from his shop. They beat him, also tried to set fire to his shop, he nearly survived because the police reached the scene on time.
