A protest was staged in front of the Kotwali Police station in Pilibhit against a hockey coach who was accused of allegedly offering namaz in the stadium. Right wing activists demanded a registration of an FIR against the Muslim coach. However no evidence was found, a police officer stated on conditions of anonymity. Even the players present on field denied any such incident. Abid Ali who played for the U16 Indian Hockey Team back in the 80s has been coaching young players without any financial support from the state government.
