Mosque Imam and worshippers brutally assaulted

A youth from the Muslim community had an argument with a woman from another community on Friday. The next day, her kin came to the Muslim locality and threatened to teach them a lesson. He, along with other accomplices attacked an imam and a worshipper around 8:30 pm while they were offering their prayers. One of them got injuries on the head while the other suffered injuries on his back. These two people did not have any connection with the man involved in the dispute with the lady. A case was registered against the unknown persons under the sections 147, 336, 295, and 296 of the IPC.
