Another case of hate crime came up from Mathura where a the cow vigilantes killed one Muslim youth by firing a gun and injured five others. The attackers had alleged that the victims were smuggling cows from Kosi Kalan. The other five people were taken in police custody and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The local SP of Mathura police alleged that Khan and his accomplices opened fire at the villagers and Khan was killed in the counter fire. About half a dozen cattle were seized from the location of the incident. Police said that they will look into the matter of cow smuggling.
