Muslim child thrashed for drinking water

A 14-year-old Muslim boy had entered Dasna Devi Temple as he was thirsty and was caught by two workers of the temple on the way out in pretense of innocently making a video. The workers inquired about his and his father's name and began thrashing him on video. He suffered injuries on his hands and shoulders and on his private parts while being threatened to be killed. His attempt to escape and run for help to police officers nearby failed as he was met with no response. He reached home with torn clothes. After the video went viral, two workers were arrested. Workers of the temple claimed with no evidence that the victim had entered the temple to steal. Locals said the Muslims who live in the area are in a constant state of fear.
