Muslim nomadic families assaulted in Jammu village

About 6 nomadic Muslim families were attacked by self styled Hindu vigilantes while they were relocating for the summer. The Hindu vigilantes came to attack them with sticks, clubs, and rods. One of the victims said that by seeing them coming they drove towards the police checkpost. But the police did nothing. They stood in silence while the goons assaulted them. They did not differentiate between women and children either. An FIR was filed regarding the incident. The attacks on nomads have increased since the Hindutva party BJP has come into power.
