Cow vigilantes attacked Muslim meat trader in Uttar Pradesh

A Muslim man was assulted for transporting beef by a group of 5-6 men with lathis who called themselves as Gau Rakshaks. Mohammad Shakir was caught carrying 50 kg of buffalo meat on his scooter when he was stopped. The goons also demanded Rs 50,000/- from the man. The police filed the case and the main accused had been identified as Manoj Thakur who is a member of Bhartiya Gauraksha Vahini. But the president of the same body said that Manoj was expelled from the group 6 months ago.
