A group of Hindu goons allegedly entered a mosque in Bada Bazar, Mathura and damaged the loudspeakers of the mosque. They could be heard chanting Jai Shri Ram. The incident took place during the lockdown. When they were questioned by a neighbour, they said that they have orders from the ‘top’ that no adhan will be allowed from now on. An FIR had been registered against 8 people under the sections 295A, 323, and 506 of the IPC. They also threatened the Imam of the masjid before damaging the speakers. The goons were arrested later.
