Sixteen Muslim employees fired over false allegation

16 Muslim employees were fired from their job in the south zone of Bengaluru’s war room of Covid 19. Bengaluru’s South MP Tejasvi Surya had visited the war room and read out the names of the 16 Muslim employees and they were asked to leave. He also said that he has evidence that they were involved in the bed scam. On the same day he held a press conference alleging a bed scam in the war room. Soon after, messages started doing the rounds claiming that these 16 men were part of the bed scam. All the employees were fired and questioned by the police but nothing was found that related them to the bed scam. 11 of the employees asked to be rehired while 5 of the employees didn’t want to work there anymore because of the traumatizing experience. Tejasvi Surya did not apologize to the Muslim employees.
