A 45-year-old cab driver was murdered in Greater Noida after he was attacked by three passengers as per the reports. The victim’s son, who recorded his father’s last call on Sunday night which was made minutes before his death, alleged that he was forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram”. The call was recorded for the next 40 minutes and Sabir sought help from Mayur Vihar Phase I police station. “His tongue area was badly bruised, ears were bleeding, there was a big cut on his face,” Sabir said. “This is clearly a case of mob lynching...We are Muslims, but we have a right to live” said 20 yr old Mohammad Sabir, victims son. Rajiv Kumar, assistant commissioner of police 2 Zone 2 Noida, said Alam was found with head injuries and denied any case of mob lynching or communal hate and said they were saying jai shree ram to someone while stopping to buy something according to him. The police is investigating further details. An FIR was filed against unidentified men.
