Imam Attacked by Around a Dozen Goons in Haryana

Hafiz Ehsan, Imam of a mosque was attacked in Alipur Khalsa Village and seriously injured by more than a dozen miscreants. He was attacked by an armed mob when he was inside, Ahsan alleged that attackers were carrying Swords, Rifles. On the spot, the villagers caught one of the accused and handed him over to the police. The leading Saji activist Maulana Muhammad Mursalin Zuberi said that at around 8PM, almost a dozen men came on four motorcycles with hockey sticks and attacked the imam of the mosque and hurriedly begun with the escape. Meanwhile, the motorcycle of one of the gang members ran out of petrol and he was caught and handed over to the police. The accused has been identified as Gurmeet. Gurmeet's slippers were also recovered from the nearby field. A Hindu-Muslim debate was held that day in the village of Alipur in the aftermath of the incident.
