Muslim man assaulted by Police

Salim Qureshi, a 55-year-old fruit seller, was brutally assaulted by police personnel at his house. They entered his house and beat him up till a part of his heel came off his right foot. He suffered injuries on his shoulders and arm too. The police then stole Rs 20,000 from Salim’s home and escaped, according to the victim's wife, Sarvari Begum. Police officers in Dildarnagar refused to register an FIR. Begum wrote an application to the superintendent of Ghazipur district, identifying 4 police officers and couldn’t identify the 5th one.
