Muslim Youths Allegedly Tortured by Police

Abdurrahman (18) and Bilal (20) were picked up from their residence and taken into custody by Palakkad Police, claiming that Bilal was a suspect in attacking a RSS cadre member. They were interrogated by 20 police officers which quickly turned into physical assault when “Two officers stood with boots on Bilal’s thighs while the SI, Sudheesh Kumar repeatedly used a lathi on his soles.” said Abdur Rahman. They were stripped naked and kicked in the stomach, chest and spine and pepper sprayed on their genitals which were also afflicted by lathis. Bilal was also electrocuted during the interrogation. The cops while hurting their genitals said "Now, you won't be able to give birth to more Muslims” said Abdur Rahman after his release 24 hours later. Abdur Rahman was released, but Bilal was not granted bail.
