A video of the incident went viral where BJP leader Sujit Puri is seen with a mob of 80-100 people thrashing Dr. Imtiaz alone at his clinic for allegedly sharing an objectionable photo of Narendra Modi. Imtiaz accepted the mistake and blamed it on his children. The BJP leader said that Modi is his god amid slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram.' An FIR was filed against Imtiaz for targeting PM Modi and BJP distanced themselves from Sujit Puri.
