35-year-old Asrar was beaten to death by a mob for allegedly hitting a minor and robbing a motorcycle, according to the police. In a viral video, Asrar is seen lying motionless as the mob wields sticks. An FIR was registered at Deoband Police Station against 11 people. A cross FIR was filed against Asrar for attempt to murder and Asrar was painted as a thief and being mentally ill.
