Watermelon vendor thrashed by people

Chand Ali, a watermelon vendor was thrashed by the public for the allegation that he had spit water on the watermelons he had been selling. Due to the lockdown and widespread fear of COVID-19 people took this alleged action very seriously. The police later accounted the allegation as false and baseless, but also denied the allegations made by Ali in regards to the present police officers also being part of the mob that thrashed him. Chand Ali also appeared on the local television and showcased the bruising and injuries that he attained due to this incident and claimed the police were involved in this as well.
