Women faced discrimination by hospital staff

At MGM hospital when Rizwana Khatun arrived heavily pregnant and bleeding, and instead of providing treatment to her, the officials of the hospital accused her of spreading the corona virus and asked her to clean up the spilled blood from the floor. She, in her weakness shaking, tried to clean up the mess, when one of the other officials hit her with the slippers and assaulted her physically. Due to this and the lack of treatment provided Ms. Khatun lost her unborn child that day.
