Three Kashmiri laborers were attacked in Barot village in the Mandi region of Himachal Pradesh by an unnamed group of villagers. They were attacked during the night within their residence. The locals passed multiple threats and harassment towards these men. They were even called ‘terrorists’ and were chased down on the way to the hospital as well. “They hate us because we are Muslims,” said Naik, a victim who sustained injuries in his arm. Abdullah, who was severely beaten, is bedridden as a result. “I cannot work now, I feel like I am crippled,” he said.
