One of the connections of a Tablighi Jamaat member who had just returned from New Delhi's Nizamuddin, according to Una Sadar SHO Darshan Singh, was Dilshad. On Sunday morning in Himachal Pradesh's Una district, a 37-year-old man hanged himself after allegedly suffering "social boycott" from some locals who believed he had COVID-19 despite testing negative for it. An official reported that Mohammad Dilshad committed himself at his home in Una's Bangarh village a day after being dropped off there by health officials after receiving a negative report. "Some villagers pointed out that this man was a suspected COVID-19 patient. He was quarantined and tested negative for the infection. When he returned to his village, he was discriminated against and socially boycotted by villagers. After this, he committed suicide."
