At Dasarahalli in Bengaluru, during the COVID-19 shutdown, some family members of Swaraj Abhiyan activist Zareen Taj were allegedly beaten by members of a Hindu right-wing group. They were handing out relief supplies in Area in north Bengaluru said she was surrounded by more than 20 RSS workers on Saturday evening. Four members of Ms. Taj's family, including her son, three brothers, and her son's friend, have reportedly suffered injuries. Taj claimed that when the distributors went to the police, they were informed that further interruptions of this nature would not be tolerated.
