According to his wife Sanjeeda, Feroz Akhtar, a person with a disabilities, was attacked with sticks by a mob that broke into a mosque as he was offering prayers in Mustafabad, a neighbourhood of northeast Delhi. The 42-year-old tailor, who was injured in the riot, is being treated at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital after suffering serious injuries to his head, back, and shoulder.
