Mob kills 36 -year-old Muslim man in Bhagalpur district

The dead has been identified as Mohammed Afsar Ansari (36), who was a labor in Banka, according to Bhagalpur SSP Ashish Bharti. He claimed that after being caught, he was beaten with wooden sticks and accused of kidnapping. When the labor ran out of chance and faced the anger of the mob for no reason, he was on his way to his hometown Meerachak village within the limits of Jagdishpur police station. As soon as they heard about the incident, police arrived on the spot and took charge of the deceased's body. According to SSP, the deceased's family members filed a police report (FIR) against five named suspects as well as some unnamed defendants. Four suspects were detained by police: Kundan Yadav, Mohan Rai, and Kartik Rai and Pappu Rai.
