Delhi: 14-year-old lynched in Adarsh Nagar on suspicion of theft, family denies charges

On Friday at around four in the morning, Sahil entered their neighbor's home. Sahil was allegedly inside with the intention of stealing when Mukesh awoke from sleep due to some strange noises. People came at Mukesh's scream and began beating Sahil. In yet another horrifying incident of mob lynching, a mob in New Delhi's Adarsh Nagar neighbourhood battered a young Muslim child to death. Sahil, a 15-year-old boy, was severely beaten to death by his neighbors after they allegedly went into Mukesh's home to steal something. According to reports, the event happened early on Friday. Six suspects have been detained by police in connection with an accidental murder case. Sahil breathed his last on Friday evening; therefore, police changed the charges levied against Mukesh.
