Madrasa teacher thrashed in Kolkata’s local train

A Muslim teacher, Hafiz Sahrukh Halder was allegedly beaten in a moving local train in Kolkata. He was wearing a skull cap and had a beard. Some people in his compartment pressured him to chant Jai Shri Ram. he was beaten badly by them when he refused. Then he was thrown out at the Park Circus railway station. The locals there helped him and took him to a hospital. Then Sahrukh registered a complaint at Ballygunge GRP station. His family was living in the fear that he might be attacked again.
