Muslim youth beaten, abused and tortured in B'lore

This incident occurred when Tanveer, a 23 year old youth had picked up a call while riding a bike, then Ayyappa, a police personnel saw him and stopped him. The policeman asked tanveer to disconnect the call. A little delay angered Ayyappa and he started abusing taveer with a baton. He summoned a police jeep and threw tanveer into it and with his other police mates physically assaulted him continuously while taking him to the police station. Where ayyappa and 8 other policemen brutally assaulted Tanveer again after putting him in jail with iron rods and they even spat on him one by one while he was lodged in jail. When his father reached the station the policeman slammed Tanveer’s head onto the iron rods of the jail in front of his distressed father. Tanveer's brother who was present at the situation was charged with a pity case and asked to write, “I won't talk back to cops,” in kannada a thousand times on a paper before letting him go. Later when Tanveer complained of severe pain in his kidney he was taken to hospital where he noticed that his urine had turned red after diagnostics he was informed that his kidney was damaged. Cases of lighter nature had been registered against Ayyappa and another sub-inspector santosh.
