Dr Payal Tadvi, a new victim of hate crime

A Muslim doctor from a scheduled tribe was used to be harassed by 3 of her seniors. They used to harass and make fun of her in front of colleagues and patients for trivial reasons. They had made several fake complaints against Dr Tadvi to the dean and even insulted her in the college whatsapp group calling her a ‘runaway.’ This continuous harassment led Dr Tadvi to commit suicide. The three have also been accused foor destroying her suicide note. Dr Tadvi was a post graduate student of Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital. The accused doctors were released on bail after spending 70 days in prison and they cannot live the city limits without the court’s permission.
