Kashmiri student assaulted in Bengaluru

Dhar, a studying civil engineering, ran into trouble after going to the gym on March 19. A group of four to five individuals approached Dhar as he was drinking coffee at the Madouk Cafe and accused him of eve-teasing. One of the individuals in the group identified himself as Nithin. Nithin and his friends warned him and left the cafe after Dhar gently rejected the claim. The following day, while Dhar was at an ice cream shop in AECS Layout, the suspects, armed with iron rods, took him outside and started beating him up without warning. This time, the accused claimed that he was recklessly riding his bike. Dhar sustained several injuries on head and body. The accused were arrested and granted bail within a day.
