Communal violence between muslims and dalit Agra

According to accounts, at 8 p.m. a Dalit child named Pramod, son of Jaini Prasad, went to fetch a pail of water from a local RO plant. Two Muslim teenagers named Shahrukh and Salman allegedly caused Pramod to trip and fall when he was returning, which resulted in an altercation between them. Apparently, more than a hundred of the men's supporters of Shahrukh and Salman had already gathered by the time Pramod and his family arrived. After that, the vicious crowd started attacking the local Dalit community's homes. Following violent fights between the Dalit and Muslim communities in the Mantola neighbourhood of Agra, racial tensions broke out in Teela Nandram.
