Man lynched in Tripura on suspicion of child lifting

Three men were lynched over suspicion of child lifting in Tripura. A mob of 300 people surrounded them at Urabari while they were in their car. They started beating them mercilessly. One of the men died on the spot. Troopers from a nearby Tripura State Rifles camp rushed to the place when they heard the news but they were overwhelmed by the crowd. Later an additional force was called and police had to resort to tear gas shells and fire in the air to control the irate mob.
