Two Muslim men were lynched in Hapur district in UP by a violent mob. One of the victims died on spot while the other suffered severe injuries. The attack was carried out as a part of the infamous cow protection campaign run by right wing Hindutva. The mob comprising of several minor boys, kept abusing Qasim that he’s a Muslim and he indulged in cow slaughter. The police pressured the family of the victims to file an FIR as a case against road rage and not as a communal violence. Two people were arrested.
