Communal clash at Kasganj

As the Muslim residents of the Baddu Nagar of Kasganj were preparing for the flag hoisting, they were confronted by 50-60 Hindutva activists on bikes who insisted that the flag hoisting be paused until the rally passes through the area. Most of them were carrying saffron flags. It turned into a heated argument and the Muslims of the area chased them. Later they returned with around 400-500 people and caused a rampage of burning vehicles and shops of Muslims. Eye witnesses even said that they were accompanied by the police. One person was killed in the major clash and a few got injured. Police arrested 50 people out of which surprisingly only 12 were Hindus. The Hindutva goons were even backed by the political leaders.
