Muslim men beaten to death over New Year’s music

A Muslim man Wasim Ansari was killed by a mob in Mandar, Jharkhand. The crowd was playing loud music and Wasim reportedly told them to not play loud music as they were near a Muslim cemetry. The crowd got angry and started beating him and his two friends. The two friends managed to escape but he was killed after being struck in the head with a sharp kitchen tool. People blocked the national motorway to demand the arrest of the suspect but it was cleared away by the police. Police told the two communities to maintain peace.
