A Muslim cleric Mohammad Farooq was found lying in a pool of blood in the Noorani Masjid in Thalacheru village in Andhra Pradesh. The mosque was also reportedly desecrated and copies of the Quran were burnt. There were even cigarette butts and traces of urine on the floor of the Mosque. “Farooq was new-comer in the city and didn’t know much about the area and would busy himself with the chores of the Masjid,'' said a local.
