Four cow vigilantes beat up a Muslim youth in Ishroli village in Surat for transporting cattle. Muhib Abubakar was carrying 6 calves in his van. His van was stopped by the vigilantes and they got out of their car with sticks. He suffered injuries on his head and hands but he managed to escape in a sugarcane field. From there he took an autorickshaw and got himself admitted in New Civil Hospital in Surat. A case was registered under the sections 323, 324, and 114 of the IPC
