Two Muslim clerics were assaulted in Naya Sarai Village for refusing to chant Jai Shri Ram. They were returning home from evening prayer. A group allegedly intercepted them and asked them to chant Jai Shri Ram. Maulana Imran managed to flee but Maulana Azhar was brutally assaulted after he refused their demand. He had to be hospitalized. The father of the duo requested people to maintain peace and not to take the law in their hands
