Jharkhand mob attacks Muslims at Iftar time

A mob of around 100 people attacked Muslims during the time of Iftar. They were carrying swords and axes. The mob of local Hindus attacked even the Masjids, assaulted the people praying and burnt the copies of the Quran along with vandalizing the infrastructure. The injured were rushed to Sadar hospital. They threatened the Muslims that if they don’t leave the village, they will kill everyone including the women and the children. Around 20 Muslim families left the village in fear and took refuge 8 km away in the campus of the district collector. Since the Muslims had lodged a complaint last year, they were socially and economically boycotted.
