An Imam lost his teenage son in a violence during Ram Navami in Asansol. His son went missing after the clashes in the village and later his body was found. He was possibly beaten to death. The Imam appealed to the villagers to maintain the peace. He even said that if they tried to retaliate, he would leave the village. He further said that he needs to get over his personal losses and that this is a conspiracy to defame the people of Asansol.
