Muslim vendor thrashed by mob

A bangle seller was allegedly thrashed by the mob in Govidnagar for using a Hindu name while being a Muslim to sell his bangles in a Hindu area. He was also robbed of Rs 10,000/- and the mob broke his bangles and other products. They also hurled communal slurs on him and were heard saying in the video that he shouldn’t be allowed in this area again. He was looted and then beaten mercilessly. A case of rioting, assault, robbery, intimidation and disturbing communal harmony was registered and three people were arrested.
