A 52-year-old rickshaw driver, Gaffar Ahmed, was beaten up for refusing to chant pro-modi slogans. He suffered injuries on his face and waist and was left unconscious. Gaffar also accused the perpetrators of pulling his beard and attempting to steal his rickshaw. An FIR was filed with the help of Communist Party of India leader Qayoom Qureshi and Congress Councillor Sajaauddin. Both the perpetrators were arrested.
