Hospital Refuses to Admit Muslim Patient

A legal notice has been issued to a private hospital in Patna pointing out that the National Human Rights Commissioner’s Charter of Patient Rights had been violated for discriminating patients on the basis of faith. The sister of Shahnawaz Hasan was refused treatment. After receiving the notice, the administration of Saroj Hospital promptly responded with a public apology.
