A muslim family attacked in Ranchi

A large mob gathered around Usaman Ansari's house after a headless carcass of a cow was found nearby. The mob was violent and vandalized his home and dragged him out to physically assault him. When police arrived at the scene they too were injured in the process of controlling the mob. Several violent measures were taken by them as well to capture the perpetrators. They open fired at the crowd, in turn injuring a bystander as well. Ansari’s home was set on fire but his family was taken in by authorities to be moved to safer space, thereby escaping. They are shaken up but not seriously injured. After Ansari woke up he said he will never return to the village even though all his livelihood will be gone and they might go poor for a while. He also mentioned that if the police hadn't saved him then he would not have lived.
