Dwarka Mosque attacked and Glass broken

On Friday, February 28, reportedly a mosque attack took place early in the morning. "The assault happened at 2:30 in the morning. Saad Majeed, a resident of the Shahjahanabad Apartments, told The that the attackers threw numerous stones at the mosque and smashed the glass pane. Imam Rashid and Imam Abdul Mannan were the only two people in the mosque at the time. They claim that after hurling stones, the attackers chanted "Jai Shri Ram."The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) called the attack a rumour and it was “completely false”. “Public is advised not to pay attention to or spread rumours/fake news on social media,” the Twitter handle tweeted. Majeed, however, said police was trying to downplay the matter and their tweet denying the incident was a lie. He questioned why Assistant Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Rajinder Singh visited the mosque twice if the incident did not happen and the heavy presence of security personnel posted at the site.
