The mosque is located in northeast Delhi's Ashok Nagar neighbourhood, while the dargah is nearby Chand Bagh. Locals in the Ashok Nagar neighbourhood claimed that unknown miscreants set fire to the mosque on Tuesday afternoon. "We got to know about it through social media. Police informed us that the mosque had been vandalised around noon. This is terrible, and I can confirm that outsiders rather than locals were responsible.” One of the residents said.
