The Hindutva mob surrounded the Gudri Bazar Jama Masjid and demanded to hand over the person who threw a slipper on the rally procession of the festival. They got inside the mosque and even damaged parts of the mosque. Police had to interfere to control the situation. Around 11 people were booked for the violence. 2 BJP members were arrested in connection with the communal violence too.
