Muslim man beaten, forced to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai

A Muslim man was assaulted in Sadar Bazar after evening prayer. He was forced to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Shri Ram by a group of half a dozen men and they forcibly took off his skull cap. Four men on the motorbikes and two pedestrians intercepted him saying that he isn’t allowed to wear a skull cap in this area. They beat him with a stick. The two pedestrians were intoxicated. They continuously shoved him during the incident. When he started crying, they fled. His kurta was also torn during the incident. His brother took him to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10. And an FIR was registered against the unknown persons at CIty Police Station under the sections 147, 149, and 323 of the IPC
