A Communal clash broke out in Assam between two communities. It started when the Muslims wanted to pray the Friday prayer on the road while the other community was opposing it. The bikes of the people praying were burnt in retaliation. More than 15 vehicles were damaged and 12 shops were vandalized. Police tried to control the situation by firing in the air. Assam Rifles and CRPF forces were deployed to control the situation. 15 people were injured out of whom 3 were in critical condition. One of the injured persons died later in the hospital
