Rumour leads to communal clashes

Communal clash was seen in a town of Madhya Pradesh. A man had allegedly slain a cow in the butcher’s market. The police recovered the cow’s hide from the butcher’s market. Police arrested one man for slaughtering the cow. Later some people spread the rumour and the situation got tense. Saffron activists also protested. Incidents of arson and stone pelting were reported. 6 people ot injured in the clash. Additional forces were deployed in the area. Police initially imposed section 144 in the area but later they imposed a curfew.
