A Muslim man was killed in a village in Muzaffarnagar. The Muslim man Muneer, saw a man from the Hindu community heckling a youth. He interfered and told him to stop it. The accused, Sanjeev, pulled out a revover and fired at him. Muneer died on spot. The area became tense. Police force was deployed. The accused was arrested. People locked themselves in their homes out of fear.
