Tension in Firozabad as mini truck killed 11 cows

A driver was carrying 23 cows illegally in Firozabad. To avoid the police checkpost, he took a detour and his truck turned over into a drain. 11 cows died and 12 were alive. The mob went to the place, pulled the driver out and assaulted him. The cows were being taken for slaughter. The police came to the incident place and took the driver with them. The mob set the truck on fire and even damaged the vehicles of the cops. Their demand e=was to handover the driver to them. The driver was arrested under 3 sections of the Uttar Pradesh Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1955. An FIR was lodged against the people who damaged the cop cars too and against the 3 other people who were with the driver who fled.
